Parto’s first vacation with advanced technology is not just an adventure, but also an unexpected comedy! Armed with a travel app, a smart camera, and the help of a virtual assistant, he is ready to explore the beach and capture beautiful moments… or at least, that’s the plan. What if the digital guide actually makes Mr. Parto lost? Come on, follow Mr. Parto’s hilarious story, where a Bali vacation turns into a journey full of laughter and exciting lessons!

Mr. Parto, a middle-aged man who is not familiar with technology, finally decides to go on vacation. But this time, he wants to try something more modern—a digital nomad vacation, complete with a laptop and advanced travel apps. His children have installed various travel and navigation apps on Mr. Parto’s handphone. They believe that technology can make it easier for Pak Parto to enjoy his vacation.

Day One: Check-in and Chatbot

Upon arriving at the hotel, Mr. Parto was greeted by a sophisticated chatbot named “LISA.”

LISA: “Welcome, Mr. Parto! I’m LISA, your digital assistant. How can I help you?”

Pak Parto: (stunned) “Oh, this is a woman’s voice, but where is her face?”

LISA: “I’m just a virtual voice, Mr. Parto. You can ask anything about the hotel and surrounding destinations.”

Mr. Parto: (whispering) “Wow, that’s really cool! Hey, Mrs. LISA, can you order food?”

LISA: “Sure, sir. The options are on the screen. Press ‘OK’ to confirm.”

Mr. Parto tried to follow LISA’s instructions, but a few seconds later, a message appeared: “”Order failed, try again.”

Mr. Parto: “Oh my… LISA, this is just talking, but not taking care of your stomach!”

After trying several times, Mr. Parto gave up and went to the receptionist to order food directly.

Day Two: Traveling with Map Applications

Mr. Parto decided to go for a walk to the nearest beach. His children had taught him how to use the map application on his handphone. With full confidence, he began his journey, following the map application’s instructions.

Map Application: “Turn right 200 meters.”

Mr. Parto, who was not familiar with digital distance measurements, instead stopped at a food stall on the right side of the road.

Mr. Parto: “Sir, are we at the beach yet?”

The food stall seller frowned, “Sir, this is still in the middle of the city, the beach is far away!”

Confused, Mr. Parto finally returned to the map application. However, when running again, the application makes another sound: “Turn around, you’re going the wrong way.”

Mr. Parto: (annoyed) “It tells you to turn right, but it’s going the wrong way! Is this a map or a game of hide and seek?”

Finally, Mr. Parto decided to take an online motorcycle taxi to the beach. The technology guide at his house cried in despair seeing Mr. Parto’s journey on the map screen.

Day Three: Smart Camera

On the last day, Mr. Parto wanted to capture his vacation moments with his camera. The problem was, Mr. Parto had just bought a sophisticated digital camera that had many features, but he didn’t know how to use it.

He tried various buttons, until he accidentally activated the “Panorama” mode. When posing in front of the beach, the camera captured the view from the right to the left, making the photo tilted.

Mr. Parto: (complaining) “Oh my, this camera has too many ideas!”

He tried again, but this time he accidentally pressed the “Artist Filter” button which made his face black and white like a stone statue.

Mr. Parto: (shocked by the photo results) “Wow, why is it so scary? It’s like a photo for a driver’s license!”

After several attempts, Mr. Parto finally asked a passing tourist for help, and the tourist happily helped him take his photo. Mr. Parto was finally satisfied, although he laughed more than he got a good photo.

Epilogue:

After returning from his vacation, Pak Parto told his children his story.

Pak Parto: “Turns out that vacation technology doesn’t make things easier, it actually makes your heart beat faster!”

His children just laughed, while Mr. Parto shook his head. Despite the hassle of sophisticated technology, he returned home with memories full of laughter and exciting stories.

The moral of Mr. Parto’s story? Technology can make life easier—if we know how. And for Mr. Parto, today’s lesson: sometimes digital guides can’t replace the sincerity of human guidance!
