When the harvest season comes, around October onwards, the durian will flood the market across the archipelago. Tourists can buy it at the nearest supermarket, traditional market, roadside stalls or other places.

A number of durian farmers usually sell their durian fruit directly on the tree to merchants. While some others, choose to take care of their own harvest or wait in their own garden house and then farmers pick up the falling durians.

Well, on routes with heavy traffic, such as roads along the Denpasar-Gilimanuk or Denpasar-Singaraja routes, it is easy to find farmers who sell their crops directly. Similarly, in other areas around the garden location there are also those who sell ripe durians.

Aside from being eaten directly, durian is also used as a mixture to make cakes or pastries. Of course, the cake as a durian derivative product is unique with a natural taste.

It is said, durian contains many minerals that are beneficial to human body such as zinc, copper, manganese, sodium, magnesium, calcium, phosphate and others. In addition, it also contains vitamins such as B, C and E.

Other content is antioxidants such as phenols, flavonoids and carotenoids which play an important role in counteracting free radicals that can damage cells in our body.

Uniquely, this thorny fruit does not contain cholesterol or has zero levels. However, the sugar content is quite high.
